There is something so whimsical about the last few months of the year. It goes by in a flurry of festivities and celebrations. It is as if you are celebrating in anticipation of the new year. Personally, for me, this time of the year means one thing: Fattening but oh-so-delicious food. And, this year I kick-started my delectable food sojourn with two equally enthusiastic food lovers. The 9-day (Navratri) festival period is a great time to sample some authentic Bengali cuisine in the city…
S, N and I decided to scope out the food scene at one of the pandals and what followed was an evening of food, food, and more food. Oily, greasy and wholesome – Bengali food is moreish and full of flavour. Bhapa Illish, Kosha Mangsho, Luchi with Aloo Dum….every morsel was filled with rich, punchy rustic flavours. Yum! I am photo-blogging this, go ahead and feast your eyes.
PS: Thanks guys for overfeeding me.
