Dear future husband,
I want to…
Wake up to watch the sunrise together at Anchorage in Alaska; walk hand in hand in the stone-cobbled lanes of Cusco in Peru;
Dear future husband,
This is going to be the first of many letters I write to you before you officially become my husband.
It is Monday, 7.45 a.m. and I am on my way to work. It is a wintry Bangalore morning, but all I can think of is how listless the city looks without you. The sun shone a little brighter and everything seemed livelier when you were around. Work days never seemed like a long nine hour drill, and it just felt like a big countdown till I got to see your beautiful face.
Half past five in the evening doesn’t have the same effect as it did when you were here. The anticipation of seeing you, of getting to breathe the same air as you and getting to be within touching distance is all being sorely missed. But I am thankful; thankful because it makes me appreciate and notice these little things. Because, well, like you would say ‘what is life without the small things, right?’
Love,
L
